New Orleans comes to Cornwall as Bude hosts one of Britain's leading annual jazz festivals, packing 200 jazz events into eight days. The annual event features not only a packed programme of traditional jazz and swing workshops, but also New Orleans-style street parades. Tall Ships Race -2008
Falmouth will host the start of the Falmouth to Funchal Tall Ships Regatta in September 2008. The Tall Ships will be in the port from Wednesday 10th September and you will be able to visit the ships throughout these 3 days before starting the race on Sunday 13th. The Tall Ships Festival was last hosted in Falmouth in 1998 where a staggering 150,000 people came to experience the atmosphere of Tall Ships race. There is no doubt that the 2008 festival will be just as popular and the streets of Falmouth will be bustling.
